Stone oil is a medicine used by traditional medicine of China, Tibet and Burma, as well as by some peoples of Western and Eastern Siberia, Altai, and Mongolia. It is a rare natural mineral, which, unlike mumiyo, does not contain organic impurities.

What is rock oil?

This unusual substance has been known to people since ancient times, and for the first time it attracted the attention of mountain hunters who noticed animals licking stones. Having looked closely, people saw that they were not licking the stones themselves, but the hardened film on them, which is now called differently: stone oil, braxun, white stone, mountain wax, and so on. The mineral is mined in high mountain areas where there is no vegetation, literally scraping it bit by bit from the surface of cave rocks and crevices.

The exact mechanism by which braxun (rock oil) is formed is not known, but it is found to be a product of the leaching of certain rocks. The extracted product is purified from limestone and other rocks. It consists of plates crushed into a white-yellow or beige powder, which may have a reddish or greenish tint (depending on the predominance of certain additional elements). Brakshun has an astringent taste with a slight sourness, is highly soluble in water, but poorly soluble in alcohol, glycerin, and ether.

Studying the chemical composition of braxhun, experts attributed it to the group of aluminum-magnesium alum. About 90-95% of it is magnesium and aluminum sulfates, and the remaining components vary depending on the type and age of the mountains on which it was formed. The history of stone oil is mysterious and poetic. In ancient times, many peoples shared amazing legends about a wonderful elixir that bestows beauty, health and eternal life.

“Tears of the Mountains” have been called differently. In Mongolia and Tibet, the properties of “brakshun”, or “rock juice”, were revered. The inhabitants of Ancient Egypt admired the “Illyrian resin.” The Slavic peoples preferred stories about stone oil. Read more about the benefits and harms of stone oil later in the article.

What is rock oil?

Rock oil is mined in mountainous areas. It is scraped off the cave walls and ceilings of the grottoes. Typically, rich deposits of white shilajit can be found in areas where metals, especially silver, are abundant. The growths of the substance combine a variety of shades - white, red, yellow or gray. The color depends on the amount of zinc in the composition. The product itself is formed during the percolation of rocks. As extraction proceeds, potassium alum appears among the water-soluble salts and minerals - the base of the mountain elixir.

High-quality and pure stone oil dissolves in water, but does not react well with alcohol. Its aroma is pleasant and reminiscent of ginger. The taste is sour, similar to bird cherry fruits and lasts a long time in the mouth. The consistency is viscous, despite the fact that the processed drug is a powder. The substance has a delicate, light beige tint.

Alternative names for rock oil are braxhun, geomalin, mountain tears and white mummy.

It is not for nothing that stone oil is called white mumiyo. It is easy to confuse it with black - deposits of both mumiyos are concentrated in the highlands. Due to their rich range of healing properties, both substances in combination with water are used for treatment. However, they are very different in nature. Black mumiyo is an organic mineral, while stone oil does not contain the slightest admixture of organic matter.

White mumiyo, also known as stone oil, and black mumiyo are different substances. Due to their similar properties and places of extraction, they are often confused, so you need to be very careful when purchasing.

Residents of urban Russia had the opportunity to become acquainted with the amazing properties of this substance during the time of Peter the Great. At the end of the eighteenth century, the sovereign signed a decree on the supply of mountain oil extracted in Siberia to the capital. Russian scientists, two centuries later, gave the drug the official medical name “geomalin”.

Composition and beneficial properties

  • Oncological diseases - cancer in the early stages, it is extremely important to consult with your doctor;
  • Proctological diseases - rectal fissures, epithelial coccygeal duct, hemorrhoids;
  • Sick teeth and oral diseases - caries, stomatitis, periodontitis, pulpitis and others;
  • ENT diseases - sore throat, laryngitis, chronic tonsillitis and others;
  • Eye diseases - astigmatism, myopia and so on.

Many diseases, such as diabetes, cannot be cured. Other diseases are long lasting. People suffering from them are forced to adapt to difficulties and constant medication. For severe, long-term illnesses, a mixture of the drug with water helps alleviate symptoms (for example, itching pain). It is best to start using it in the early stages of the disease, although responsible and regular use also helps in later stages.

Stone oil can relieve symptoms of such long-term illnesses and disorders:

  • Diabetes mellitus - certain elements in stone oil, such as potassium and magnesium, help regulate insulin production and normalize blood glucose levels;
  • Obesity - in this case, white mumiyo helps normalize the metabolic process;
  • Rehabilitation after surgery;
  • Deficiency of micro- and macroelements;
  • Menopause disorders;
  • State of stress, psychological stress, excessive mental and physical stress.

Speaking about the cosmetic use of the substance, it is worth noting that regular use of a mixture of stone oil and water prevents the early appearance of wrinkles, strengthens the structure of nails, restores hair growth and prevents dandruff.

Applications of rock oil

Highlight three ways uses of stone oil: internal, external, and third - in the form of tampons or enemas. Most often the drug is used internally. For this purpose, special tinctures are made with the addition of water, healing oils and herbs. As for external use, stone oil can be an ingredient in balms, lotions and medicinal ointments. For diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, the drug becomes an ingredient in cleansing and restorative enemas.

The operating principle is unique in nature. When a person uses a medicinal product based on white mumiyo, the cells of the affected organs begin to absorb the amount of microelements necessary for restoration and normal existence. The drug is non-toxic and does not cause an allergic reaction.

Using brakshun is very convenient and budget-friendly. Extraction of the substance on an industrial scale has not been established, but this is not a serious problem, since several grams of the drug are required for the treatment course.

To prevent endocrine diseases, 1-2 grams of the drug are required, and for more severe diseases (for example, tuberculosis) - 10 grams.

The medicinal white mumiyo powder, which people purchase for treatment and prevention, is created by grinding pebbles mined in mountainous areas. Their color varies from case to case - white, yellow, brown.

A universal way to use white mumiyo: It is necessary to dissolve a teaspoon of medicinal powder in three liters of boiled water, and then leave it to infuse in a dark place for several days. After this, you need to carefully pour the solution into another vessel without damaging the sediment at the bottom. Take a glass of medicine twenty minutes before meals for six months. The recipe is aimed at improving overall health and strengthening the immune system.

For cancer

Stone oil helps with cancer and prevents the occurrence of cancer. Braxhun is known to be toxic to lung, breast, colon, liver and ovarian cancers. Some researchers attribute the toxicity of the substance in relation to these complex ailments to the presence of heavy metals in its composition. The drug also protects the body from radioactive radiation.

Mountain oil makes the patient feel better after a chemotherapy session, for which solutions in boiled water and medicinal compresses are used. At an early stage of cancer, the drug slows down the growth of malignant tumors, and in some cases eliminates them altogether.

Based on brakshun, you can prepare the following means for the prevention of oncology:

  • For an oil solution that relieves cancer symptoms, you need to dilute 1 gram of the purchased product in a glass of boiled water. To improve the taste, add a teaspoon of honey. Take one glass at a time three times a day.
  • To prepare a compress or tampon for insertion into the vagina, you need to dilute 1 gram of braxhun in a third of a glass of boiled water. The procedure for applying a compress or inserting a tampon is carried out once a day.
  • To prepare the drug used orally, patients with stomach cancer should use a different recipe. The concentration of braxun in the solution increases. Now you need to dilute 3 grams of the substance in a glass of boiled water. The dose size is significantly reduced - no more than one tablespoon of solution before meals.

For the treatment of joints

Treatment and prevention of joints with braxun becomes effective due to the high concentration of calcium in the substance. For joint dislocation, an oil solution will facilitate the therapy process and also help avoid excessive muscle swelling due to prolonged atrophy. During dislocation, the injury affects not only the joints, but also the soft tissues that surround the damaged area.

For treatment of joint sprains and other injuries, you need to mix half a gram of stone oil with half a glass of rose oil. It is recommended to lubricate the area of the damaged joint several times a day.

When treating the liver

Rock oil is considered a liver protector as it helps maintain the proper secretion of enzymes and juices that are essential for healthy metabolism. To treat liver diseases, it is recommended to combine traditional medicines like braxhun with traditional medicines.

To prepare liver treatment solution, you need to mix 3 grams of stone oil and 1 liter of boiled water. Take a glass of the solution three times a day.

For eye treatment

Rock oil can be used to treat eye diseases such as cataracts. This disease is the most common cause of visual impairment in older people. The lens of the eye becomes cloudy and overall visual acuity deteriorates.

To prevent cataracts You can use a preparation based on stone oil, or braxun. Dissolve half a teaspoon of rock oil powder in a glass of boiled water. Use the resulting solution as eye drops three times daily. The serving size is three drops.

For general vision prevention Internal use is recommended. Dilute three grams of stone oil in a liter of boiled water. Take one tablespoon three times a day half an hour before meals. If the acidity level is elevated, take it an hour before meals.

For hair

Stone oil contains a rich range of vitamins and minerals that are vital for normal hair growth.

Regular use of this mountain medicine helps prevent hair loss and early graying of hair, compacts the structure of the roots and normalizes the natural development of hair.

Brakshun also has a positive effect on the health of the scalp, prevents dandruff and relieves inflammation.

To prepare preventative hair mask from stone oil, you need to dissolve a couple of grams of powder in a glass of boiled water. After regular shampooing, you need to apply the prepared solution to your hair. Use the product for a month and treat your hair with it every time after washing.

Contraindications and harm

Due to its strong choleretic effect, stone oil is prohibited for use by people who suffer from obstructive jaundice. It is also worth paying attention to the compatibility of the oil with other prescribed medications - antibacterial drugs, hormonal pills and medications for hypertension.

It is necessary to take into account the individual characteristics of the body, age and level of physical fitness. Pregnant and breastfeeding women also do not always tolerate the use of stone oil well. It is better to refrain from taking the drug during constipation.

When using Braxhun, you also need to pay attention to your diet. It is better to give up meat of any kind, coffee, strong tea, chocolate, cocoa, radishes and radishes.

Unprocessed stone oil is prohibited. Raw braxun contains heavy metal ions and other contaminants that can adversely affect human health.

When purchasing, you must make sure that the mountain oil is purified and ready for use. Indeed, in most countries of the world, the quality control system does not apply to traditional medicine.

In any case, before using stone oil, you should consult your doctor and carefully read the list of contraindications.

In the Sayan Mountains and Khamar-Daban and in other mountainous regions of Siberia, in rock crevices and cracks, you can find whitish-yellowish or greenish formations in the form of growths or deposits, called stone oil by hunters and the local population. They are a product of leaching of overlying rocks and, when removed from the rock, are more or less amorphous, shapeless pieces of various sizes, mixed with powder, sour-sweet, astringent taste, highly soluble in water.

What is rock oil?

By chemical nature, stone oil is a natural potassium-magnesium alum. They contain significant amounts of impurities of soluble salts of the rocks on which it was formed. Often the bulk is magnesium sulfate. In addition, rock oil contains a number of microelements, the composition of which is also determined by the underlying rocks.

Collection of rock oil

The search and extraction of rock oil is associated with a serious risk to life, rock climbing experience is desirable and it is desirable to possess minimal mountaineering skills - rock oil is found in hard-to-reach places - rocks, caves, crevices, canyons, etc.

Anyone who decides to extract STONE OIL must remember that the cure for all diseases is located high up and difficult to access; it is better not to go on a hike alone and without equipment.

Methods for purifying stone oil

Rock oil dissolves easily in water. The purification method is based on good solubility in water.

1. Dissolution in water

The collected raw materials are poured into an enamel bowl and filled with warm water. Then it is infused for 10-20 hours, stirring occasionally. Next, the first portion of the solution is poured through a sieve into a glass or enamel container, and water is again added to the remainder of the grounds, which is drained in the same way after 10 hours.

The first and second solutions differ only in the concentration of stone oil and the content of lime dust: there is more of it in the second solution. You can pour the grounds a third time, but do not drag out the dissolution process over time: the “waste rock” quickly ferments, spreading an unpleasant odor.

2. Filtration

The next stage of purification is separation of the solution from insoluble impurities. Filtration is used for this. The simplest, but longest way is to settle. Cleaning the solution may take up to a month to settle. When the solution is cleared, it is evaporated.

3.1. Evaporation of moisture (hot method)

Water is evaporated from the solution as follows. Take two basins, one smaller than the other. Pour water into a large basin, and a solution of stone oil into a smaller basin. This design is placed on low heat and a fan is placed nearby. It is important that the air stream is directed towards the surface of the solution. The heated solution must be stirred all the time and the temperature checked - stone oil loses its quality when heated to temperatures above 60 C.

The most tedious stage of dehydrating stone oil begins from the moment it acquires the consistency of sour cream. At this time, there is a danger of overheating of the extract; the contents have to be mixed constantly and quite intensively, because a layer of thicker extract forms on the surface, which prevents the evaporation of moisture. When the solution begins to resemble a thick syrup, the heating stops and the stone oil is poured onto durable polyethylene placed in bowl-shaped molds. Now your task is to protect the stone oil from moisture so that drying continues.

3.2. Cold cleaning method

The cleaning method by evaporation is considered not entirely correct. During heat treatment, a significant part of the properties of stone oil is lost. Therefore, there is a method of cold drying (natural drying). After filtration, the slurry of stone oil is poured into trays and dried in the open air, drying lasts more than a month.

Stone oil can be stored indefinitely.

The history of stone oil

It is called stone oil only in Siberia. In Burma they call it Chao Tui - the blood of the mountain. In Mongolia and Tibet - bragshun - rock sap.

Rock oil has been used for over 4,000 years. Basic information about “bragshun” is contained in the manual on Tibetan medicine “Shelphreng” (the Tibetan word “bragshun” comes from “brag” - rock and “shun” - melting, leak - rock leak). In other sources, rock oil is called “rock blood”, “blood of the primary elements”, “rock nectar”, “juice of jewels”, “medicinal juice of the five elements of the Earth”, “red element of the Universe”, “suppressing earthly diseases”, “tears of the mountains” , in Egypt - “Illyrian resin”, etc.

Chemical composition of rock oil

At the end of the 80s, a spectral analysis of rock oil was carried out at the Institute of Chemical Sciences of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR. The study showed that rock oil contains 49 trace elements, that is, almost half of the periodic table. Unbelievable but true.

Rock oil contains potassium, sodium, calcium, phosphorus, silicon, magnesium, iron, copper, iodine, as well as gold, silver, platinum, and others...

Thanks to the research of scientists from Almaty, who first discovered the healing power of stone oil to science, we know that this substance owes its phenomenal properties to the microelements it contains, the properties of which are enhanced by each other.

Both their composition and high concentration are unique. This explains their effective influence on the functioning of the human body, its individual systems and organs, down to the cellular level. These substances are able to fight various kinds of infections, stimulate metabolic processes, strengthen the circulatory system and immunity, promote the removal of toxins from the body, have an analgesic, wound-healing and even antitumor effect.

Potassium in rock oil

Due to its high potassium content, stone oil is able to normalize the activity of the heart and regulate the water balance of cells. If there is not enough potassium in the body, dry skin increases and acne appears. Frequent colds are possible, mental activity deteriorates, nervousness, insomnia, and depression appear. The lack of this microelement can also affect the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract: constipation, diarrhea, as well as unquenchable thirst, nausea and vomiting - all these are symptoms of a lack of potassium in the body. Muscle fatigue, weakness, periodic headaches, pain in the heart can also be caused by a lack of this microelement.

Sodium in rock oil

Calcium in rock oil

Rock oil also contains calcium, which is necessary for the formation of bones and teeth. It is the high content of this chemical element that explains why bone fractures heal much faster when taking stone oil. Calcium is also necessary for the prevention of joint diseases. A deficiency of this substance can cause skin diseases such as eczema. Calcium ions are involved in metabolism, they maintain normal blood clotting.

Phosphorus in rock oil

Rock oil also contains phosphorus, which is necessary for cell restoration and transmission of nerve impulses.

Silicon in rock oil

Silicon is also part of the “tears of the mountains”. Thanks to this element, stone oil is an excellent cosmetic product: silicon is necessary for the normal functioning of the surface layer of the skin and mucous membrane. In addition, this trace element gives elasticity to blood vessels and prevents heart disease.

Magnesium in rock oil

The body's absorption of mineral elements and vitamins is impossible without magnesium. This microelement plays the role of a “conductor”: it activates the work of enzymes, which ensure the absorption of useful substances. Magnesium deficiency often becomes the main cause of cardiovascular diseases: cardiac arrhythmia, hypertension, sudden cardiac arrest. Asthma, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, depression, insomnia, irritable bowel syndrome and pulmonary diseases are also consequences of a lack of magnesium in the body.

Iron in rock oil

Rock oil contains iron compounds. The main function of iron in the body is to participate in the transport of oxygen. With its deficiency, hemoglobin synthesis is disrupted, fatigue appears, hair turns gray, and nails become brittle.

Copper in rock oil

Lack of copper in the body can lead to osteoporosis. Without enough copper, your skin begins to flake and your hair becomes dull. Stone oil contains copper, so taking medications made from it will help prevent these unpleasant phenomena.

Iodine in rock oil

Stone oil also includes such an essential element for the body as iodine. It is necessary for the normal functioning of the thyroid gland. Lack of iodine leads to disruption of the endocrine system and can cause many serious diseases. Currently, a connection has already been established between iodine deficiency and breast cancer. With a lack of this microelement, endurance and the body's resistance to infections decrease, and unwanted fat reserves accumulate.

Gold, silver, platinum in rock oil

The composition of stone oil also includes precious metals: gold, silver and platinum. Of course, their content is so small that trying to extract these elements from stone oil is pointless. Very little is known yet about what consequences the absence of these elements in the body can lead to. But all three elements play a very significant role in health.

Benefits of rock oil

Rock oil is not a panacea for all diseases! This natural substance is a complex solution of minerals, taken in liquid form, and replenishes their deficiency. Before use, consult a specialist about the compatibility of components and the presence of other reactions.
