Honey mushrooms fried with potatoes in sour cream

I always ate this dish when visiting my grandmother. She made it incredibly tasty. Then I adopted this experience from her and now I enjoy cooking for my family. Only it seems to me that grandma had it better. Although, maybe it was a taste of childhood.

Ingredients:

  • Honey mushrooms – 800 gr.;
  • Potatoes – 6 pcs.;
  • Onions – 1 pc.;
  • Sour cream – 6 tbsp. l.;
  • Water – 6 tbsp. l.;
  • Vegetable oil – 60 ml;
  • Bay leaf – 2 pcs.;
  • Salt - to taste;
  • Ground black pepper - to taste.

Preparation:

1. Pour 2 - 3 liters of water into a saucepan. Add the mushrooms there and put them on the stove. When it boils, drain through a colander and rinse the honey mushrooms under running water. Place it back into the pan with water. Add 1 tbsp there too. l. salt and, after boiling, reduce the heat. Cook for about 20 minutes.

2. During this time, peel the onion and cut it into half rings. Place in a frying pan with heated vegetable oil. Fry until soft.

3. Peel the potatoes and chop them into cubes. Add to the onion, salt, pepper and mix. Also, don’t forget about the bay leaf. So we need to cook for about 15 minutes.

Don't forget to stir everything from time to time, otherwise it will burn!

4. The mushrooms are cooked. Place them in a colander and let the water drain. Then we send it to the vegetables.

5. Mix sour cream with water and pour the mixture into the contents of the frying pan. Stir and simmer with the lid closed for another 10 minutes.

6. Taste and, if there is not enough salt, add some salt. Turn off and serve.
